I am a stay-at-home mum to a 17 month old boy. Love the little fella ( hereafter know as M ) to bits and I have to say it has been fun most of the time taking care of him except for the dreaded meal times. I was in disbelief when he turned away from the gorgeous ( so I thought ) purees prepared for him from 6 months onwards. This little picky eater could very early on tell apart food that was placed in front of him in small portions for his little fingers to pick up.
Well, enough of me rattling on about battles during mealtimes ( yes, which I know and have read about not reacting, not offering alternatives, finger food, let them go hungry advice) but if you have been through or are going through this, you know it's not that simple.
So here I am sharing my experiments on recipes, skill enhancing activities and distractions on the high chair to get M to eat.
